Weekly Recap – August 21st, 2015

Play Out Loud 1 smallAs you can see, Angus found a new place to hang. Apparently there are a lot of these “play places” where kids his age can climb over all sorts of stuff for a couple of hours and attempt to exhaust their nearly endless supply of energy. Mom said he had a great time and he slept pretty good last night, so I think they work!

For myself, the week hasn’t been nearly as exciting. Work, write a little, work some more, write a little more, sleep, read a bit, repeat. I didn’t put anything up for Fish this week, because I spent some of that writing time on a short story due by the end of the month. I don’t know if I’ll make it, but if not, it’ll be something I’ll submit to other publications.

I hope you have a great Friday and overall weekend!

  1. Ah yes, play places. Great for kids and microbes alike! But I looked at it as a way to build their immunity. My kids played on all those things, and they especially loved ball pits. I had to shut my brain off as to what those balls harbored, but my kids rarely get sick so I think it paid off. 🙂

    1. Haha, you’re so right Carrie. My wife made sure to pick the place that had the best “cleanliness” reviews. Who knows how clean they can really get the stuff, but you make a good point about building the immunity. I, too, shudder to think of what was in all those ball pits I jumped in as a kid. Have a great weekend.
