The Sordid Tale of Johnny Reb and the Lebanese Pizza
We’re still under an excessive heat warning, so we skipped out on attending a local civil war re-enactment today. It was so much fun going last year and we were really looking forward to it, but alas, the cannonades were not in the cards.
Instead, we stuffed our faces with delicious Lebanese pizza. If you’ve never had it before, try to find it if it’s available in your area. It’s lighter than your typical American-style pizza with a completely different flavor profile (think thyme and olive oil). Angus insisted on eating outside of the restaurant, so it seemed we were destined to sweat today, no matter what.
I’ll have a new story posted tomorrow. I seemed to have struggled with this one the most out of all of them so far, but I’m happy to say that it’s finished and I’ll get to sleep in a little bit. I’ve been feeling a little burned out lately and I think the consecutive weeks of 5-6 hours of sleep a night are adding up.
Back to the grind on Monday, though.
Since I’m posting the story tomorrow and the process on Monday, I’ll wish those in America a Happy Labor Day today!
