Striking a Nerve

Ah! Ooh! Eee! Gah! Sonofa!
Ah! Ooh! Eee! Gah! Sonofa!

So on Saturday, I performed all sorts of strenuous exercises at the gym. We’re talking deadlifts, bench presses, and dips for starters. All of that sweat and stress, and I pinch a nerve in my back doing what? That’s right. Putting my pants on after I showered.

No words… just, no words.

So I don’t feel like such an idiot, I would love to hear your ‘stupid injury’ stories — in the comments or a link to a blog post!

  1. I dropped a CO2 canister (for my pony kegs) on my foot when I was rushing to get ready for a party. Broke a bone in my foot. Hurt like hell.

    Beer, like love, can be painful.

    1. Ouch. At least you could drink some of the pain away.

  2. I’ll preface by saying I already had back pain, but I pinched my sciatic nerve picking up a bag of trash. Dropped me to the ground, and put me off work for two days. I don’t recommend it, lol.

    1. Wow, that’s pretty much what happened to me Jessica. I’m pretty sure it was my sciatic nerve as well. The pain rushed down to my right calf and brought me to the ground as well. It happens every once in awhile since I was injured in a car accident about 15 years ago. No recommendation from me either. 🙂

      1. Ibuprofen, an ice pack, and a good chiropractor is about all you can do for it, lol. Hope you feel better soon!
