Since the end of November, all’s been quiet on the Blog Front. I know that much is obvious and it wouldn’t be worth your while to read a list of excuses. The simple fact is that I haven’t made time for blogging or writing in general because I’ve made other parts of my life a priority. I’d hoped the end of the world would absolve me from all responsibility, but alas, here we are.
I do have a new blog entry that will be posted after the New Year, but you won’t find it here. Oliver at Literature and Libation has offered me a golden opportunity to write a guest post and I will publish a link when it’s up. It will be all about that ugly little number you see to your right – my NaNoWriMo wordcount.
Though that may be my only completed piece, I have been thinking a lot and taking notes. I’ve been brainstorming my next novel, short stories, and non-fiction essays. I managed to crank out the occasional bit of text in support of these items, but mainly because I get antsy and know I should keep my word placement skills from getting rusty.
What I’m trying to say is that I apologize for my absence, and I will be back. I like this writing thing too much not to return.
But enough about me. How are you guys doing? I’ll be celebrating Christmas, so in my tradition, I’ll wish you a Merry Christmas. But no matter what you celebrate, cherish the moment and stay safe.
