Another Day Older and Deeper in Debt

Hello strangers,

I apologize for my lack of followup on the Techniques of the Selling Writer series and anything else you may care to hear me talk about. I owe you all a completion of that series, so I wanted to let you know the check is in the mail.

After my flu recovery, I dove straight into killing myself through my day job as a time-intensive project found its way onto my plate. The rest of this month will be just as crazy and my writing time will be in short supply. I’m still writing, but I’m putting whatever little focus I have left at the end of the day into my fiction.

I hope you’re all doing well and I hope to have something meaty for you to chew on soon.

-Phillip

  1. Phillip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sooo good to hear from ya man!!! Appreciate the update though, and you absolutely have your priorities straight. Fiction first, for sure! Well, until we make it big time, it’s actually: Day job first, fiction second! : )

    1. Thanks Stan. It’s been a rough few weeks, no doubt about it. But I can’t let a bad patch stop me, so I’m trying to keep myself focused!

      1. Life’s a circle, man. You’re about to get out of the shit and get back on top! Be pumped about that. (And take a shower afterward…)

  2. Thanks for the update. I hope you’re feeling better. No apologizes necessary, work always comes first.

    1. Thanks Jill! Definitely feeling better and looking forward to getting back on track.

  3. Gah! The flu. Sorry. Hopefully everything will click back into place. Looking forward to future posts.

    1. Thank you Jae. I can see the light now. Only problem is it’s so far away as the next couple months will be very busy at work. I just need to make sure it doesn’t become an excuse!

      1. Well, you gotta pay the bills first. I’m sure you’ll find a little time somewhere. Keep at it!

  4. Thanks for visiting my blog, and I’m happy to see I’m not the only one who struggles to stay on top of writing promises!

    1. I love coming across editors, so I’m glad I found you through Oliver’s blog. I look forward to reading your posts and educating myself in the ways of good writing!
